Harvest is finally here! We celebrated this past weekend with our wineclub members as a few tons of Cabernet Sauvignon from Lewelling Vineyard in St Helena kicked off the season for Bennett Lane. Things continued to roll along this week as we brought in all of our Chardonnay from the famed Sangiacomo Vineyard in Carneros.
We are so excited to see our Chardonnay arrive, as we have now been given vineyard designation to our Reserve Chardonnay. The 2009 Bennett Lane Winery Sangiacomo Chardonnay will be among the first single vineyard designate wines from the winery!
As of right now our harvest is running about a week to two weeks behind last year. A late start to the heat and now a nice cool autumn season have lead to incredible hang time for all of our vineyards and amazing flavor development in all of our grapes. Stop by the winery and visit the petting vineyard to try all of our flavors, they won't be on the vine much longer!
Welcome to Bennett Lane Winery. Our 2006 Napa Valley Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah both garnered 92 Points in Wine Spectator.
