ett Lane, we are blessed with a Napa Valley location that yields the finest quality grapes. In the cellar we make every effort to highlight this quality and bring it to fruition in the bottle. We are committed to minimal intervention and gentle handling, from the harvest to bottling. In this way, our wines can best express the essence of their terroir, or origin. The goal is to create elegant wines that are also rich in flavor.
We are reaching this goal each vintage, with award winning Napa Valley red wine. Bennett Lane has garnered an incredible total of 13 90+ Point wines from Wine Spectator in just the last four years. Among those, our 2006 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon & 2006 Syrah scored 92 Points and our current release 2005 Maximus scored 90 Points and was named one of California’s Outstanding Values.
Maximus 2007 White Feasting Wine

This highly anticipated release from Bennett Lane Winery is our white wine partner to our proprietary blend, Maximus. This Napa Valley white wine is a blend of 87% Sauvignon Blanc, 11% Chardonnay, and 2% Muscat. With aromas of orange blossom and honeysuckle, this aromatic white wine displays incredible notes of mandarin orange, key lime and white peaches. On the palate the wine is crisp and has bright flavors of nectarine, ruby red grapefruit and comice pear. The body is full and elegant with layers of fruit and a hint of minerality.

This is our newest release from Bennett Lane Winery. The wine opens with aromas of ripe Fuji Apple and bakedpear tarte with hints of toasted hazelnut and vanillin oak. On the palate, crisp juicy Bartlett Pear flavors are complemented by a touch of barrel fermented nuttiness and luscious ripe fruit. The wine has a rich and long bright clean finish. Drinkable now, yet the lively acidity will allow the wine to age up to five plus years.

This 2005 release begins with aromas of cocoa, cherry and plum. Subtle hints of all spice, cedar and toffee develop in the glass as the wine opens. On the palate there are rich flavors of mocha, chocolate and raspberry that lead to an elegant finish, with layers of rich texture and incredible length. The fruit for this wine is sourced primarily from two of our favorite vineyards. The Taplin 2 block of Lewelling vineyard in St Helena has been a main component of our Reserve Cabernet since its first bottling in 2002. Farmed by our vineyard manager Doug Wight, this vineyard always shows as the best of the best in our cellar. The newest component of this wine is our own Lynch Family Vineyard, from owner Randy and Lisa's Estate in Calistoga.

There were less than 100 cases made of this traditional port style wine, made with Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah and Carignane. This is Bennett Lane's first ever release of a dessert wine.
