Maximus 2008 Napa Valley
The blend on the 2006 Maximus is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 14% Syrah, and 4% Cabernet Franc. The wine opens with aromas of blackberry, violets and chocolate covered cherries. On the palate the wine displays flavors of dark berries, mocha and cherries. With elegant, velvety tannins that enhance the mouthfeel, the wine has a long fruit driven finish and pairs well with practically everything.
