Winery's Signature Maximus Blends Will Be Served at the Raceway

(Calistoga, CA; May 19, 2009)-Randy and Lisa Lynch, owners of Bennett Lane Winery, the first California winery to own a NASCAR team, will be the title sponsor for second year in a row of the "Bennett Lane Winery 200" NASCAR Camping World Series West Event Race at Infineon Raceway on June 20th. Local racing fans and wine lovers will gather at the track in Sonoma, to cheer for the home team at the Bennett Lane Winery 200 race, which will serve as the main event on the Saturday of the Toyota/Save Mart 350 event weekend June 20th-21st. Randy Lynch has often said, "I want to turn beer guzzlers in to wine drinkers one race at a time." As the title sponsor of this race, he continues to speed ahead towards this goal. Bennett Lane Winery will also host their very own Wine Garden in Turn 8, where fans can catch an incredible view of the track and enjoy a glass ($8) of Bennett Lane's own "Maximus" red and white feasting wines. Since Bennett Lane Winery first pioneered the unlikely marriage of wine and racing as the first California winery to sponsor a NASCAR team in 2003, the relationship between wine and NASCAR has continued to blossom with wine consumption among NASCAR fans nationwide up 22%, compared to the 7% increase in consumption for the rest of Americans, according to a study published in February 2007 by ACNielsen and Nielsen Sports.

In 2007, the Bennett Lane Winery team claimed its first NASCAR Grand National Division West Series Championship with driver Mike David behind wheel of the #2 Bennett Lane Winery Ford.
